Private Lessons

~Student receives 1 on 1 instruction and coaching from the teacher. No peer pressure.

No waiting for the teacher to deal with other students.

~Lessons are usually 30, 45, or 60 minutes per lesson, depending on student experience and drive.

~The instructor teaches in your home where students are recommended to have a dedicated space for learning or students come to the studio. Or come to our studio.

~Weekly lessons are highly recommended for all levels. (Two lessons per week available for ambitious students. One lesson every two weeks is also available for the hobbyist!)

Exploration of Music

Audition Coacing

Perfect for aspiring actors and actresses who have not had much vocal training, but want to have an edge for their first audition. Also great for advanced beginners who would like help to reduce mistakes attributed to nerves!

~Preparation for musical theatre auditions at high school or community theatre or youth theatre

~Preparation for auditions to caroling companies or choirs that require audition

~Preparation for Golden Empire or Honor Choir.

Singing Contest Coaching

Yilin and Jalin both have entered their share of singing competitions and garnered high scores with judges. We coach on your vocal technique, song selection, interpretation, and the very important factor of stage presence. You will be the one everyone else needs to beat!

~4 half-hour or 45 minute lessons.

~Frequency to be determined based on contest date.

Group Lessons for Violin

Learn to play in a group with music for 2, 3 and 4 violins. Improve your intonation and musicality by listening for other parts. Students will rotate playing 1st, 2nd violin, etc.

~1 hour lessons.

~Can be supplemental to private violin lessons.

Group Lessons for Voice

Sing chamber music to improve your musicality, blend, and ear! Instructor selects music for instruction. Friends who form a group to take lessons are welcome to bring music of their choosing also!

~45 minute or 1 hour lessons.

Group Lessons for Young Pianists - age 4+

Sometimes playtime is a great time to learn piano, especially for the youngest students!

Music Theory & Sight-reading for Singers

This class is a great supplement for experienced singers who want to improve their sight-singing (also called sight-reading) skills. Sight-singing often gives you that edge to get hired for jobs that have little rehearsal or large amount of material. Flash cards, work books, and ear training are utilized.
